Throwback Thursday

Chris took a trip up to Indianapolis on Tuesday to race his stock car! He's always wanted to compete on this track, and in celebration of his accomplishment, here is a throwback photo to when he raced his old #34.
Can you guess what year it was taken?

Where Do New Cars Go When They Aren't Sold?

We were wondering what happens to new vehicles that don't get sold! So, we did a little research, and found this article. We aren't sure if it is 100% accurate, but it is definitely thought-provoking. According to this article, cars are sent to acres upon acres of empty lots, and parked there for years, unused.
The reason dealers choose not to sell these cars at reduced prices is because then new cars would no longer sell at the original price. What do you think? This is definitely some food for thought. Would dealers benefit from selling vehicles at lower prices, or should they maintain their higher prices and continue to send thousands of cars to sit on lots and never be used again?

Hot Weather Safety Tips!

It's HOT outside today! Here's a few tips to stay safe in the heat!
- Drink Plenty of Fluid - Increase your fluid intake regardless of your activity level.
During heavy exercise in hot weather, drink 2-4 glasses (16-32 ounces) of cool
    fluids each hour.
- Replace Salt and Minerals - Heavy sweating removes salt and minerals from the
body, which are necessary for your body and must be replaced. Drink juice or
    sports drink.
Wear Appropriate Clothing and Sunscreen - Wear as little clothing as possible when
you are at home. Choose lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. In the
hot sun, a wide-brimmed hat will keep the head cool.
Use a Buddy System - When working in the heat, monitor the condition of your
coworkers and have someone do the same for you.

Why F&S? Reason 32

We always cover our bases when it comes to starting a repair. Though the finished product is often the most glorified stage of auto repair, the beginning is often overlooked, despite its importance. At F&S Collision, we get the "a-okay" from you and the insurance company before starting repairs. Our equipment, tools, and parts are always inspected for top quality, so we can bring you the best auto body experience as possible.
